The BBC has gone too far with its marketing this time

To be fair there are Zelda games where Ganon isn’t the final boss. Those are games where Ganon doesn’t show up at all though. Those certainly aren’t games where Ganon was shown in the first (and last) trailer, and shows up the first 15 minutes of the game.

The article title doesn’t call it the final boss (you have to click in to see that), and the article picture doesn’t show any different forms, literally all that this spoils is that you fight Ganondorf at some point. If “you fight Ganondorf at some point in this Zelda game that openly has Ganondorf in it” is too much

I’m glad it has a gimmick but I still think it looks stupid. I also did irreparable damage to my opinion of it when I made this:

Eh, I think they do fine with this. Most of the outfits that are superfluous are just DLC/Amiibo armor from BotW (you know, the nostalgia stuff) while most of the other stuff stays useful. I don’t really care about it but I don’t care about that sort of nostalgia. I use the Barbarian set, I know a couple people who

I always feel like Mimikyu doesn’t belong on these lists, it’s a “pikachu clone” in the most literal sense, but doesn’t really fit the archetype. Either way, I don’t disagree that it’s better than anything else on the list.

A “save outfit” feature would be nice but at the very least there should be a single “equip set” button. If you don’t have the full set it would just equip what you have of the set. If you have any duplicates it would default to the highest level of each item. They could even attempt to match color if there were

On the topic of useless, inelegant, even confusing, features of the game: Fans have also pointed out the absurdity of armor that shields you from cold damage caused by incoming enemy attacks that doesn’t actually protect you from cold environments.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but for me at least, FFXVI just looked boring, and that’s the biggest sin for me as far as Final Fantasy goes

How many fairies did you have? I think if you have more than like 2 fairies no more spawn. If you had no fairies and they still weren’t spawning in the evening then that must be a bug.

I’ll grant you that there should be an easy mode for more casual gamers (as with all games), but it’s absolutely not at all trying to be like a souls game. Unless you’re rushing through and ignoring all the side content, you should be able to get enough materials just doing content that you can upgrade armor and make

I wonder if it has occurred to Nintendo to look into *why* people used a lot of these glitches?

Yeah I personally don’t care what people choose to do in a singleplayer game but I understand a dev wanted people to not completely undermine a system

Pornhub complained that in Louisiana where legislators passed a similar law last year their site saw an 80% decline in traffic.

I very much think it doesn’t have staying power. The AR is charming for a day but then that wears off and literally all there is to do without paying is throw food to your pet to feed it and throw a ball to it to play with it. The only thing interesting about it for more than the first couple days is breeding which is

I wonder how long until they kill off Peridot too. Cute tech, neat idea, monetization so egregious I don’t think it’ll even have a chance to hook many whales.

What I find most interesting about this is the fact that we’ve come so far that this sort of crappy looking licensed game is a noteworthy occurrence. I remember when console games were easier (cheaper) to develop and every animated movie and show would get a crappy tie-in game, now that sort of thing is usually

a slideshow at the top with 12 screengrabs, each with a sentence above them just saying an empty idea that may or may not even be true.

“I think it is a moment when you land on some of these barren planets, and again we will generate certain things for you to find on them, but if you look at a planet you see the resources, it has things you want there is—I love the Buzz Aldrin quote, “the magnificent desolation”—I think there’s a certain beauty

The lack of a time limit is definitely a big factor but the caves were my favorite part and those were absent Pikmin 1 and 3. Might just be nostalgia but I loved how scary the caves could be and 3 didn’t capture that. Pikmin 1 had good atmosphere but the time limit was a bit intimidating and it was a bit short. I loved
