My one and only OKC date - he tells a "hilarious" race joke (he's white, I'm black for context) in which an old white guy calls a bunch of black children the n word. He was like "I'm going to say the word just to emphasize the joke." I shook my head so hard, but he said it anyway and lolled.

So any time someone alerts you to the fact that you may be upholding sexism, it feels like an attack on your feminist cred—it threatens your status as a good person—instead of just something that we have to be conscious of.

OKC data has shown that age isn't the only factor - race is as well. That in itself shows there's some serious socialization going on that makes certain people more or less attractive to others. "Fertility..." Yeah, okay.

I would imagine that when people say "by 4chan" they mean it as a short way of saying "by someone on 4chan." Like someone writing "jezebel claims" instead "Jezebel writer Erin Gloria Ryan claims..."
