I have my current phone, my last phone, and my MacBook all set to ring extremely loud (or at least it seems like it at 6am). They have five alarms, all spaced 7 minutes apart. If I fall asleep after the first or second, I eventually just get pissed enough that I just suck it up and get out of bed.

Indeed. Out of all of the handset makers that started working on Android devices right away, I'd say HTC definitely had the most unique product design (and really, they still do in most cases).
