Your video card memory is never taken into account under System Properties. I have 8GB of RAM installed on my gaming rig with 2GB on my video card. It shows that I have 8GB installed.

Ah, right. I've seen "4GB (3.5GB useable)" under system properties on a couple of 32-bit machines, I guess it was system-reserved RAM using that .5GB.

Make sure you're running a 64-bit edition of Windows before upgrading your RAM. 32-bit editions can only use 3.5GB.

When I had an iPad, I mostly used Hulu, Chrome, used it to read Wired Magazine, Youtube, the iTunes Remote app, things like that. It was basically my media/couch/bed device. The device for all things lazy.
