Once it’s shuttered, remind me to tell you how I got ungrayed on Gawker. I won’t tell anyone while it’s still operational - you’ll understand why when I do tell you - but it’s kinda funny, and atypically sweet, considering the venue.

From what I can tell and have read, the regular commenting platform will stay as it is, as Kinja was part of the Univision deal. Gawker, the website, will be no longer after next week. Gawker Media however, which includes Jezebel, Kotaku, Deadspin, Io9 and others will continue under the Univision umbrella.

To be honest, I’m kind of devastated Gawker won’t be around for the election. I feel like I’ve been with them through the trenches in terms of their coverage over the last year and a half, and I was very much looking forward to Nov. 8th on Gawker. NOW IT’S BEEN TAKEN FROM US :( :( :(
