Shootings used to be a TV-show interruping “Breaking News” situation. Not so much anymore. Lots of times, they’re not even the lead story. We’ve become numb to the horror. We have callous souls. We are hostages to our own bullshit.

Don’t feel bad for finding a temporary escape. That’s better for your mental health than keeping the news on an endless loop.
