Funny that white men can find some common ground with other white men who just happened to be attracted to white men, but women still aren’t people.

Anyone else find it unsettling that as we make great strides in LGBT issues, we are being jettisoned back to the dark ages when it comes to Women’s Reproductive Rights?

The best funding for an abortion free society would be great sex-ed and free birth control.

Possibly ‘cause the very few democrats in that state are probably college students?

I almost want to say Trump because he at least has had some sane, lefty moments but that’s still a terrifying option.

Cruz is really the worst of the worst. Sanctimonious, Machiavellian, hypocritical, McCarthyesque. A vicious little debate-club ninny. Probably the only human being on earth who could ever make me root for Trump in a primary.

If you seriously had to pick between a Cruz Presidency and Trump Presidency who would you pick? It’s almost like an unsolvable riddle. I almost want to say Trump because he at least has had some sane, lefty moments but that’s still a terrifying option. But is it more terrifying than a president Cruz?

It is censorship. The one with the gun is the new censor.

The censorship this essentially *guarantees* is far far worse than any “sharia rule of law”.

Suicidal thoughts! These kids are very vulnerable and as someone who had suicidal thoughts once I can tell you that the best way to help them is to get them the hell away from guns!

I wouldn’t pay for my children attend a university that allowed students to carry guns on campus. No way. The biggest danger with this policy isn’t mass shooter scenarios, it’s bitter break-up, bad grades, horrible roommate, sports rivalry, drunken shenanigans, etc.

As a professor myself, that’s what scares (if anything really does) me the most. I’ve had students upset because I mention evolution in an Intro Psych class. The folks who are most upset by what we discuss in class are likely the folks who will also choose to carry on campus.

I’d say very few.

Now, when they get there and get shot to death in lecture, there will be a lot of tears about how it’s the university’s job to protect them from this madness, but my impression is that most incoming freshmen choose school by name, rather than by safety concern.

Don’t worry. President Trump will send him to The Wall.

This is awful. It’s 2016 and faculty are worried about teaching LGBT history because it might piss off the wrong person. And I can guaran-fucking-tee you the University and NRA will lay the blame at the professor’s feet for “going there.”

10/10 well played

What in the whole entire fuck is happening in this country?

My mom is a professor. If this happened in her college, she would retire. This doesn't make people safer. In fact, a number of people would be scared by this. I'm not sure if it would really deter a shooter or make the shooting worse.

“It’s a terrible state of affairs, Jonathan Snow, the president of UH’s faculty and person behind the safety presentation, told The Chronicle of Higher Education.

Biology professor: “The wide diversity of similar species on the Galapagos islands can be explained by evolutiona—” <metallic clicks from around the lecture hall> “— by, uh, Jesus, of course!” <hammers are quietly lowered and rounds unchambered>
