Just because it is a duplicate of you does not make it you. It is a separate and distinct consciousness that just happens at the point of it’s creation match the one in your body. You are creating a copy not actually transferring the original. A copy, now matter how exact, is not the original.
The problem is, that backup plan isn’t you, it’s a copy of you and a separate consciousness. While it might benefit others around you, you yourself will not live on in a new form. A separate copy of you will. You will still be dead eventually.
