As an interesting aside, Apple Pay works at Home Depot right now, even though I don't think they've announced it. Used it a couple days ago.

Personally, I'm happy to see the Camera Roll return — the Moments-based organization isn't useful to me, at all. But I also vote for a dark-background Music UI! Gawd, that white is horrendous.

I've found most Home Depots now have Wi-Fi (open, just accept ToS), but they do have a pretty draconian content filter running, so anything that could even be construed as "adult" is usually blocked. Actually had a couple Jezebel and Gawker articles blocked, once.

Here's what's supposedly the current shortlist for the title role: Jared Leto (said to be aggressively lobbying for it), Oscar Isaac, Matthew McConaughey, Ewan McGregor, Jake Gyllenhaal (said to be interested after doing dark dramas), and Ethan Hawke.

I did find it interesting that the fear of nuclear weapons is so concentrated in South America... where there aren't actually any nuclear weapons (at least, not that I know of). I wonder what's spurring that fear?

I really feel we missed out on something great if Emily Blunt had been able to stay on as Black Widow. I think we might have gotten a much more nuanced, less flat character. And just as sexy, for what that's worth.

I love LastPass, but it would be awesome if they'd add two features:

My childhood self is shedding a tear or two. Clue Club, Laffalympics, Thundarr the Barbarian (the first runs, before Boomerang existed), Superfriends, Hulk Hogan's Rock N' Wrestling, Monster Squad (not animated, but totally awesome) — the late '70s/early '80s was the Golden Age of Saturday morning cartoons. Back when

"What you do not smell is called iocane powder. It is odorless, tasteless, dissolves instantly in liquid, and is among the more deadlier poisons known to man."

This is fine news to hear, given how spotty our AT&T Microcell is. Without it, we have practically no coverage at all at home (one of those, "stand in this one corner on one foot" kind of coverage), and no landline. But it's finicky, so Wi-Fi calling will (hopefully) be an improvement.

This, exactly. If people are surprised that the watch wasn't circular, then they're not thinking about how these watches are actually designed to be used. I said this in another thread: all watch-iness aside, there's a lot of textual data that's displayed on this watch. And constraining text within a circular

Yup, this. For all its watch-iness, you're still consuming lots of textual data on this puppy. And a round boundary doesn't work well with textual displays.

Looking forward to when (and if) this kicks in for AT&T, so I can ditch my buggy microcell!

Soooo.... could the Ultimate Nullifier destroy the Heart of the Universe? It's kinda sounding like... Yes? Maybe?

Great to see so much Mass Effect cosplay. Never gets old for me. :-)

Glad to see y'all are back in the invited press pool. Live feeds haven't been the same since 2009.

Tom Hanks did it first in Mazes and Monsters (1982), although that was more, "D&D drove me insane, and I can no longer distinguish fantasy from reality", and less, "Missed my saving throw against Satanic possession."

Yep, I think it was. I meant to say, "didn't show up a little higher". Lack of clarity FTW! ;-)
