Sarlacc? Pfft. You crazy pyjacks don't recognize Kalros when you see her?

We went to one of Ms. Porco's talks in Santa Cruz a few years back, just after one of the larger sets of new Saturn photos had been released. Absolutely fascinating stuff, and her genuine excitement is contagious.

We have two Rokus (Roki? Rokae?), and absolutely love them. Add the Plex client (I run a Plex Server from my Mac Mini), and your entertainment options go through the roof.

Another cool piece of history attached to Myst: the original version for the Mac was built in, of all things, Hypercard. I kinda miss that old jack-of-all-trades.

Absolutely this. We haven't even seen the second one yet, given how looooooonnnng and yet, full of nothingness, the first one was.

Does anyone know of an app like this for Windows? I have an old HP TC1100 that I'd love to turn into a touchscreen info center for my office.

Ladies and Gentlemen, fresh from the "Battle of the Network Stars" stadium... Cathy Lee Crosby!

Ray Harryhausen is the master of all things. Nothing else matters in this movie.

The Lick Observatory is a really fun place to visit, if astronomy is your bag... not to mention the crazy almost-one-lane road that winds up the mountain for what feels like ten miles to get there.

Like I said. ;-)

I learned all this from Star Trek.

Blonde hair + dark stubble/beard only says one thing to me: early '80s professional wrestler.

I'm coming up on my one-year anniversary with Witopia, and I've been really pleased so far. Works great across Mac & PC, lots of server locations, and a very speedy pipe.

Combine this gorgeous bike with a set of amazing Revolights, and you could have one seriously awesome night ride.

Still probably the best show ever on television.

If the next version starts to look like this, I'm out.

Hah, I love Remo Williams — it's horrible, but I imagine my fondness comes from having read nearly the entire series by Sapir and Murphy. The Destroyer books are awesome, pulpy fun!

I had the original Laser Tag back in the '80s. It was fun, but unless you somehow got all your friends to buy a set, too, it was pretty much just target practice.
