So, by your logic, you honestly think the reason 90% of the famous movie directors just happen to be white males, is because they also were the best at their job? You HONESTLY think so? Aaawww, that’s so cute. I wish I was naive like you.

Unconscious bias. Learn it, love it.
I went to OU too. I’m from NE Ohio originally but during my time down there I love the area. I agree with all your sentiments.
I went to OU too and worked in Chillicothe a lot, and you know, it has problems for sure, but the town itself has a certain charm. This is awful.
Is this a non sequitur? Or is there an Arcade Fire link I can't see?

UGH I almost forgot Enlightened was canceled this year.
I've been raped and I've been divorced. I'd take the rape over the divorce any day. I didn't love or trust my rapist, and physical pain passes, but the betrayal of the person who promised to love me forever deciding I was not worth loving... that is what gave me the PTSD I have now. I will never trust another man…
Tomorrow is the third anniversary of my husband's death. I wish I had something like this. The closest I came to it was to take a ton of pictures of the house as he last saw it, the renos he did, his objects as he left them. Memories of our house as it was. All for me because our daughters turned three and six…
That's what Restorative Justice is all about. It's a really good thing and I hope it takes off.
This makes appropriate treatment all the more essential. Those with dual diagnoses (e.g., a mental illness + addiction) face bleak prospects for recovery if only one of the illnesses is addressed at a time.
But I do have hope that a court-ordered program can do it right. Someone I love — someone who was bipolar,…

There are group home for victims of domestic violence, but she may not be allowed to live in one because she has a felony record. I hope that because the judge is allowing her to be rehabilitated, her attorneys have already found a placement for her somewhere where she can get better.
Interesting...and ya know if u think about it... Kennedy was given the sexy "playboy" status around his philandering. It improved his image if I'm not mistaken.
Re the womanizing and wife abuse, I'm familiar with those allegations. But as to your second paragraph, it's my understanding that Winnie's heinous actions were her own doing, quite independently of Nelson. In fact I recall a period when it seemed that he was subtly distancing himself from her so as not to be seen as…
Don't feed the trolls, dahling. This turd spews this shit on every rape-related article.
The Queen City reference came from Mark Twain (supposedly).
I think you are really smart. I mean, look at the way you used "Queen City" to create an implied homophobic slur. That's rhetorical craftsmanship, ladies and gentlemen.
"I just judged you for your appearance! So go you! Screw people who judge you for your appearance!"
Seriously. It is OFF today. I've been logged out a million times* and it keeps giving error messages but posting anyway. I guess it's a sign I should do something constructive with my evening...
