First they lied about the mileage, and then this.

How many times are you asked if it's your girlfriend's car?
You can't make an airbag work when you crash. That's the issue here. The GM engineers never realized the airbags wouldn't go off and that's why, it appears, so many people died.
It was my understanding that people were getting in wrecks, the jolt through the car from the collision was knocking the ignition switch to off, and because of that the airbags weren't going off.
I still think people should take it upon themselves to know what to do in the event of major system failure in the car they are driving. An ignition failure such as this should not be the root cause of any collisions... Maybe a contributing factor, yes, but not the cause.
Dipshit. You DON'T need to call 911 for that. Nothing happened that a change of tire and underwear won't fix.
Bob Hoover wins it, hands down. His demo of energy management with both engines shut down still amazes me after many years.

The bestest solution that could come from this-some team gives him a ride along-and he can explain why he was wrong—and become an auto racing fan. How frikkin' cool would that be?
Somehow Detroit was a hell of a lot better off when he started being their champion.
Good Riddance.
Conyers has championed not only the well-being of Detroit, but also the well-being of its most famous industry.
