The most shocking thing in this article is that there are people who put sugar on grits. Is this really true?

For day-long driving trips I guess so. But I regularly (weekly or so) drive from Houston to Dallas or Austin, and that’s 200-250 miles, about 3-4 hours’ driving, in the morning. I go from place to place during that day in the other city. Then I drive back that night.

So I found this confusing - today we can buy the localized SD3 with the LoM and FFA - and they will look like the SNES/GBA originals?

Niiiice.

Right. But I meet so many people who move to Texas and think about the lack of income tax but never look into the property tax thing, then they get the valuation (and prospective bill) in April and literally start to cry. The only thing I can tell them is that they have until January to start saving up.

Under property taxes, on thing that needs to be taken into consideration is that some states, like Texas, use property tax rather than income tax as the primary means of raising revenue at the county/city/ISD level. So the $200/mo figure above is a situation where the “median” can be misleading.

But I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

No, as stated by Godot above, the idea is two-sided.

I don’t think it’s an “odd” line of thinking at all. I think that hating someone because they have things you believe you cannot have is pretty damn common.

No one sane is going to buy a $6 water.

Yes. I was think the exact same thing. I thought that was a still from Career Opportunities for a second.

“considering that the Rolling Stones probably have millions of dollars already”

Honestly, no one lead with this as the reason to go after the campaign. This is literally his whole schtick - “they want to investigate me for getting too good a deal. They don’t like that I am so good at making deals. I saved a bunch of money like I’m saving the country so much money.”

I know how. Someone gets pregnant with their child. Then they become pretty damn pro-choice instantly.

Why does fucking Moby get two memoirs?  Is it a chapter per day?

Settle down, Red.

Maybe it’s like when people buy a piece of expensive jewelry, then put it in a vault and have a cheaper replica made to wear around. A proxy 356.

Nein.

Yeah.  Who drives around yelling “this is an original [whatever]!” in the first place?

What was the BHP on an actual 356? 60 or so? No way it was over 100.
