On a personal note, this hit home the moment I read it (which is why I'm atypically linking to a comic book news site on Lifehacker). While I don't talk about it a ton publicly except here and there on my personal accounts, I've had a lengthy history battling not just depression but a variety of other mood disorders.

Ah, the simple French Press. It's perhaps one of the easiest and fastest ways to get a better pot of coffee once you've moved on from drip machines. It's a tried and true method of making a delicious cup of coffee that extracts an exceptional amount of flavor from coffee beans in a short brewing time. A fresh coarse

I think in general this is good advice, but I'd argue that even this isn't universally true! I left my crappy office job a few years ago without another one lined up. I had enough savings to last a couple months and while it certainly would've been nice if I still had that money when I got my next job, the break

Hey, we can't help it if dogs are totally incompetent at catching the wildlife they chase.

Its not irrational to show affection towards a being who cares for you.

Handi-capable kitties are nice. But again, deep down they're like dolphins. Semi-lovable sociopaths. DOGS YO.

I'm allergic to cats. I don't mind them, but I think every cat, deep down inside, is an asshole, because they don't really need you, so if they feel like being an asshole, they'll be an asshole. Which is not to say that there aren't asshole dogs, but I don't think it's as universal. Dogs are friends and protectors,

Dogs. Not even a real question.

We have both and I love them for different reasons. But, gun to my head, I'm a dog person. I like big dogs that I can play with and roll around in the dirt with. I like the smell of wet dog. Dogs pick up on the emotions of different members of our family and are always trying to take care of us.

Damn this is a tough one. I like both but am more partial to dogs. I'd say cats require less maintenance. Dogs are a lot more fun since they tend to be more active but they do require more attention.

VLOOKUP is really dangerous as it can deliver unexpected results depending on how your sort. On spreadsheets with a lot of rows you might not even know there's a problem (ask me how I know).

but they've spoken against it now, and were in support of bills such as SOPA

Seriously. Publish the damn salary and save us all from wasting our time applying for the position that requires 5+ years experience, but pays entry level.

Hey recruiters, if you are going to ask for a salary requirement or salary history, don't call me in and waste my time with an interview when the top dollar you're willing to pay is significantly less than what I am making or asked for.
