That's not the point. This is Nanny-State-ing at it's worst (or in the case of the decision today, best). The government should not step between parents and try to do their job for them. Of course, my position is informed by my belief in freedom from government intervention in my life as a parent. I hope to raise

If California had won, it would have overturned piles of precedent about free speech. This was an open and shut case as far as precedent goes. In actuality, this was a test of the activism of this court, and now I know who is an activist judge in a matter that's important to me. Freedom wins today.

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but you really are misinformed. R movie restrictions are self-regulated by the film industry, not because of any law. This is the same as Gamestop's policy not to sell M rated games to children without their parents present. They saw an overriding need to self-regulate or face the

"The California bill's author, Leland Yee, told reporters today he was very disappointed. The Supreme Court has "decided that it is going to side with corporate America and Wal-Mart against our children," he said."

Troll troll is trolling uninformed troll. 1/0

Yes... when you are dealing with a smug little unrepentant dipshit who "lulz" off anything you do to him... yes, this is a perfectly rational response. Leave him in there until he's a broken whiney shadow of his former self.

Face it: Nintendo and 3D don't belong on the same system. I thought they would have learned that lesson with Virtual Boy.

Someone said this was a "woefully underrated game". I think not. I say it's rating is woefully rationalized. We should stop all the word mincing and call it what it is: obscenely dated and clearly phoned-in for a cash-in. The fantastic is so ho-hum and the stilted, stiff Unreal engine make this a serious bore.

Or they could just do it the way Microsoft does and give you a profile where you set this option once and the first time you play the game, it already knows how you like your controls...

"The people with their hands up in the air are people who grew up on Sega games."

Actually, Samurai is supposed to run for two seasons in the US.

The Japanese have some nerve. No really. They have a huge nuclear accident and officials struggle to maintain the appearance of poise and normalcy while a significant radiation accident stews. Now, they have the gall to piss away the hard work of developers rather than take what were appropriate steps in this

I think this is just fine. I think the organization works. But what's the next menu under that, and the menu under that menu? The deeper you go the more esoteric it gets. It's just fine for a top page, but I'm really leaning on the Bing voice feature to make the actual content more findable and accessible.

Notice how everyone Mr Caffeine introduces has the last name "Everybody".

Who says they're not cute? What's wrong with geeky cute? And why does it have to be about their looks? I've met many an "ugly" woman who have a passion about things. I've met larger women who know beer at a geek level. Really nice and interesting.

Both sides of this debate have been horribly ignorant. Yes, video games "can" be art, but they are mostly business... and I'm not talking 51% biz/49% art; I mean 90% biz/10% art, or worse. Yes, we are in a economic time when we should be cutting wasteful spending, but ALSO raising taxes to pay our debts. We need

Yeah, I lucked out with my Best Buy warranty. I got the value of my Xbox back... pre-pricedrop price... and pocketed the rest... which was well in excess of the cost of the warranty... plus a packin game... plus a newer console with HDMI. It was one of those Win days.

First time I played back in the day, I had to grind a little at the Mountain of Woe to get Chrono, Marle, and Lucca's "II" attack for their triple tech, but other than that, well balanced and sufficiently challenging.

It could have done without the extra gameplay and story elements. But I really appricated the updated translation. I think this is significant: only great literature and holy texts get new translations like this.
