Is this the promised OSX native version, or another port?

I don't mind the $10 'solution' even if it locks away major features such as multiplayer.

wait... people actually /wear clothes/ while gaming?

@DominusSapientia: There are a lot of games I can think of that 'should have been' on this list, but I wouldn't even jokingly say that any of the games that /are/ on this list didn't actually revolutionize things or spawn new genres and technological achievements.

All of those comments are idiotic for not recognizing how important early games like Spacewar! and Zork are to gaming and gaming culture.

Somehow I doubt that more of the top ten games have been released in the last five years than in the previous thirty-five.

@reklisniss: If you actually read the article, they aren't concerned about the units they have right now, but about replacing or repairing them, because new or refurbished units will come with the new firmware as well. Since the USAF has a contract with Sony to provide these things specifically with otherOS support,

What technology does this employ to warp space-time between you and the server to reduce latency?

Convenience? Maybe

"though you don't need to always be connected to play the game"

Remember, this is valve time we're talking about here. I'm still waiting for Christmas of 2007 to roll around :P

Works great for screws, but can it help me keep my marbles?

"a 2010 date (albeit in the Japanese back-to-front style)"

@HobbitGamer: RS-71 was the original designation before it was changed at the insistence of Curtis 'Bomber' LeMay

what is this i dont even...

To treyarchs credit, most of the campaign was cribbed from Enemy at the Gates, Saving Private Ryan, and a few other excellent WW2 movies

@KaMai: I don't think Activision is what corrupted Blizzard

If any developer can successfully work with Activision without being corrupted, I believe that Bungie, a studio with no little experience dealing with other marauding publisher giants (I.E. Microsoft) could be that studio.
