Praise the Sun! What system do you play on, Tina?
Well that sure breaks the fourth wall.
"I am Vengeance! I am the Night Light!"
Buzzfeed-worthy click-bait title anyone?
Last time I checked, nobody's life depended on your gaming credentials.
I read that as if he was saying the omission of chat was "stupidly ambitious."
My point is: who the fuck cares? If someone calls themselves a gamer, nobody has a right to frisk them and demand that they present their credentials. It's infantile and absurd.
Well, given the hypothetical girl who claims to be passionate about AB, and describes herself as a "gamer," then there's no problem. Sure, don't call someone a gamer if they don't want the label, but if they claim it for themselves, who's really in a position to question their passion?
"Oh Havel, you cheeky skamp!"
I would pay for that track mashup.
Here's the thing: who gets to decide who is and isn't a gamer? Yes, we all get a high out of our perceived exclusivity, but does it really do any good? I say, if a "casual" wants to call themselves a gamer because they like AB, more power to them. Welcome them into the fold.
I can't help but think that, if you need to write a post like this, the site needs a redesign.
It most certainly is Outset Island.
Yeah, just not any that have spent so much of their life on the couch that they've achieved 1,000,000+ gamerscore.
Is it really, though?
Eh fair enough. I'm just annoyed that, amongst all the skeeviness going on, it's her trying to sell her nerdiness with Angry Birds that got someone upset.
Why, because it's not "hard core" enough for you? Mobile gaming is gaming, there's no need to discriminate.
Wonderful. A short film that highlights all of the worst stereotypes imaginable. Why did I waste my time?
BOO!
I'M GONNA DIE SO HARD, AND I'M GONNA LOVE IT.
