I thought he was just hitting on her, but I have a skeptical mind ;-).

You pretending to be impressed by that spoon trick is a real talent
He’s not even good at hiding the fact that he’s bending it with his hands. Like, it’s just obvious.
Agree. At one point, I thought I saw him thumbing the spoon into a deeper bend.
Joanna, your “set” made me snort three times. I’d ring a gong or turn my chair around or whatever for you.
I wouldn’t dismiss the importance of the sexual aspect so easily, though. No, you won’t be tearing each other’s close off for 50 years, but having the memory of feeling that way is very important. Being able to have that spark reignite, however briefly, seems necessary for most people. Finding someone you love talking…
One of my parents is an immigrant. I was 35 when I got married. I’d never, ever marry anyone they picked for me. It has nothing to do with love. I’m a completely different person from the one they think I am. For some reason, their mental clock stopped in 1991 when it comes to me, but they pride themselves on knowing…
Agreed. I think there very much remains a subtle double standard that a man is free to risk approaching any woman, and she accepts or she doesn’t. But a woman is supposed to choose from the pool of men who express interest in her, not from the greater pool of men in general.
You think the woman chooses the man more in American culture? I disagree entirely. We still live in a culture where men are the pursuers. A woman who goes after a guy is seen as totally desperate.
You mean how he hoped Anne Frank would have been a Belieber? (I’m still agog over that one.)
Good for them. I have to admit, I’m a little worried that Justin Bieber is going to screw this up somehow, or make it all about himself. I hope it’s a great night for everyone.
Interesting.
The “One Love Manchester” show, set for June 4, will feature artists like Pharrell, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, and more.
The divorce dragged on for two years. Despite a prenup. He intentionally dragged it out because he was pissed off about it and felt used.
Both this and “she thought she should *want* to marry him/things will get better once we’re married/it’s just cold feet/whatever doubts were going through her head in the days leading up to it” can be true.
This is what sucks about sculptors. They’ve pursued an art form that is expensive to produce and that does not sell well and is underrepresented in the gallery environment. So they end up relying heavily on finding ways to fund their work, which a lot of times leads them to competing with one another over public works…
That’s the point of the bull. Essentially that Wall Street is an out of control bull in a china shop.
As part of the payment he could fuck her?
I think she’s just aware of how deeply self-obsessed both Kris and Caitlin are. I’m not convinced that two percent is an inaccurate gauge of how important their children are to that former couple.
I hope when my children are in their thirties, they will know that their mother and I value each of them more than one percent each.
