I looked at the disclosure. De Volo is getting $275/hour for testifying. That is the cheapest expert witness fee I’ve ever seen, by far. She’s not a professional witness - they got her because they believe she can explain the social/power dynamics of sexual assault to any neanderthals in the room.

Now that she’s got him on the record denying that this particular witness is qualified because she’s not trained in psychology and has never been an expert witness, when she calls the 20 psychologist expert witnesses she’s no doubt got lined up, he’ll have fewer grounds to dispute their qualifications.

Sounds like a fairly routine “expert witness” hire by her attorneys; perhaps higher profile than most litigants can afford, but it just sounds like she’s got good counsel.
