So what's the alternative with equal horsepower and 0-60 with better fuel economy? Is it a dramatic difference? I really doubt people are showing up to buy a ZL1 and walking off the lot when they see these mpg numbers...

I'm surprised the piped in fake exhaust notes wasn't further up the list! The other ones may be annoying, but fake exhaust is a car enthusiasts greatest sin!
I'm not complaining about the GT500, just stating a fact. I always thought I could spot a GT500 no problem, and I think they are great looking cars. But, the fact is, I passed one this weekend and almost missed it. I think it was a second gen 2007-2009 ish, not nearly as impressive as the newer ones. OR, it was…
Not sure I agree on this one, a lot of cops pay particular attention to Mustangs because it's more likely to be driven by a young gent driving like an ass simply because they have a Mustang. Back in high school it was the kids with V6 Mustangs that got pulled over the most and lost their licenses because they were…
Oooh, I like this....
Driving down the highway this weekend I went to pass a Mustang only to realize at the last second it was a Shelby. It's a sad state of affairs when even the Shelby looks like a 25k V6 coupe, and that's the reason I will never buy one.
Now THAT'S a boring looking car. Good rendering, boring car. Please don't eff this one up Ford, you've been doing pretty good as of late....
Given all the 14 mpg F-150s being driven by regular Joe's, I'm pretty sure you can manage 12 mpgs in an F40.
Good thing it wasn't the tanker truck...
This is a really cool article, but I would really like to see this done on just cars.

Now we have hit the nail on the head! The key is CUV, not SUV. I'll jump on board as saying it will certainly be a capable CUV.
Maybe I'm just a snotty kid Internet user, but if I was a guy who bought a helmet cam to record my motorcycle rides, of course I'd want to watch the video, particularly if it possibly contained key evidence in an ongoing case that involves a fellow rider getting run over and potentially paralyzed as well as a family…
I'll have to take your word for it. From first impressions I don't see it being an enthusiastically capable off-roader, but I will reserve judgement and hope for the best.
Yep, I know, drove a lifted one for 4 years. BUT, the XJ holds a well-deserved reputation as a very capable and strong off-roader. A far cry from what it is now, as far as I can tell anyway. I guess I will reserve judgement till I see one in Moab tackling the trails. I'm not going to hold my breathe, however.
Thanks :)
Agreed. I think these ads are great marketing.
I'm sure your not the only one, but all that means is they aren't marketing to you. I think this is going to serve them well in the short term.
Not gonna lie, this is pretty brilliant marketing. And only showing the aggressive front end is another good move by the marketing folks.
AND, this coming from the company that just released the new Cherokee, yet another killed SUV in the name of crossovers.
