Similar story here...’04 G35 coupe 6MT to an ‘01 E46 M3. I still think the original G35 lines look great but the M3 is more ergonomic, fun to drive, spacious, and the stability control intervention is much less intrusive.

About a month ago, my friend took delivery of his AWD m3. There were paint chips, scrapes, and a couple dings in the paint at delivery so he turned it in after a few weeks. Tesla gave him an X as a loaner so he’s driving a nicer vehicle for the time being.

I’ve got an ‘01 and it has been fairly trouble free. My biggest issues have been coilpacks going bad and the damn aluminum oilpan drainplug threads getting stripped.

The E46, to me, only looked good as a M3.

Completely agree. The danger when e-scooting or biking is not nearly the level as when driving a vehicle. Plus, you don’t need a license to bike or scoot. I don’t see why it should go on your driving record.

Lexus IS was my first reaction too. Overall, the new 3 is decent enough looking but the back end is not good. It looks more like a 2-series/IS, those bulges radiating from the tailpipes are ridiculous, and the thin tacked-on red light strips are just wrong (or are those CGI reflections from the taillights?).

You’re assuming sales would remain the same and thus total profit would decrease. While profit margin per unit would decrease, Infiniti should increase sales and thus total profit if the cars’ features, interiors, and quality were better.
