Stealth Rock is definitely a problem, but I think it would make a good starting pokemon, and with heat wave, I think it makes a great addition to any double-battle team.

I dunno. Drought gives the Sunny Day effect which will increase the power of fire type moves, and with its increased SA as a result of the Mega Evolution, this could bring Charizard back into the upper tiers for competition. It still can't take a hit, but with its speed, the boosted SA could lead it to a whole bunch…
