Eve is different because it's an MMO. When there's an online competitive component, you can't really have an "easy" online mode. For a single player game though, there's no reason why there can't be multiple difficulties. No one is saying that you have to turn it into a movie. In fact, there should still be some

No one is saying you have to be. It's not like they're forcing you to play the easy mode. It's an option for people who want to get into video games, but aren't as skilled as us veterans. Maybe someone wants to like video games, but has found the difficulty curve too steep, so they want to start somewhere that's

Any time! :)

Once you got the Delphinus though, any ship battle was pretty much stacked in your favor. That didn't make me love it any less though, lol.

I'm a huge fan of Fire Emblem, and I HATE strat-RPGs. I'm literally counting down the days until launch. It's definitely a more hardcore title. Each unit has its own story and personality, and if they die, it's permadeath. The stories are usually pretty good, and while the combat is simplistic (weapon/magic

I'm just saying that neither philosophy is wrong. It's only when you use your philosophy to bash someone else's that there's a problem. If the OP doesn't like easy mod, then he doesn't have to play easy mode. He can play the hardest gosh-darn difficulty he wants; however, he shouldn't criticize someone else who

Yeah, I have no issue with people who don't think Nintendo's not for them. I just can't stand people who hate on competitor consoles in general. For example, I'm not a fan of the PSP or Vita, but I try my best not to outwardly bash it. They're just not for me.

Oh, quit your chest thumping. Yeah, things were TYPICALLY harder in the NES days, but they had to be to keep you playing and to buy their games. It's really easy as a kid to just sit down and invest HOURS into perfecting a game, but when you become an adult, you have a lot less time to do that. Personally, I play

Fair enough. I can't fault you for your opinion, especially when it's very well thought out.

I would, but I'm afraid you'd turn to ash in the sunlight. :\

FFVI is a grindfest. That's my biggest complaint. Much more than FFVII ever was.

I saw that picture, and all I could think of was this...

Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the first Epic Mickey. So much wasted potential...

I'm actually a little saddened by this. I still haven't seen RotJ in theaters, and it's my favorite. :(

I'm just going to address the Wind Waker bits here, because we agree that our tastes are different.

Yes, it is.

I like Patricia, so thanks for giving her posts more views!

I second more Tim Rogers.

See, for me, gameplay has always been the #1 spot. I think Nintendo's characters have "character", but it can depend on the game. I will give you, Sonic was always better than Mario at having an "attitude" of sorts. Mario is pretty good in the 3D games, but in the 2D games, he's all business.
