Design decision - feels good to pick stuff up even if you don't need it.
Great team of gamers making games they want to play.
A: I believe there is something coming there. Check Amazon.com or something.
Not likely.
Not sure yet. Give us a minute :)
When we first talked about it and decided it was time to commit to building it.
I think splitscreen is awesome. I think that the success of Borderlands is going to allow splitscreen gaming to get more attention in the future.
I think there are always going to be lessons to learn in UI design. We're definitely learning lessons through all of our games and we're excited to apply those lessons to future designs.
Borderlands 1 surpassed what we needed, what we wanted, what we hoped and what we wished for. As a consequence, the budget for Borderlands 2 ended up being more than 3x the budget we started Borderlands 1 with. The more successful our games are, the more resources we have to put into the next ones!
It's the same as in Borderlands 1. The PC version has an FOV slider. The default FOV is what we have mathematically and systematically proven to be "optimal for the largest spectrum of users" but there are some people who are edge cases and they can make adjustments on PC.
Money is cool because money lets you create action towards things the currency holder cares about. But for that to happen, we need more than just a desire to make money. We need a belief that the best and correct kind of experience we want to entertain people with is what is best delivered through an MMO like…
At this rate... I wouldn't count on it going on sale anytime soon. We don't handle pricing, but given the rules of supply and demand it's pretty clear demand is out of control on this game and so the price will hold. Skyrim is still full price on Steam and it's been almost a year...
Yes.
Thank you! We love shared experiences!
Wow.
I made a comment about this above.
RPG balance. I think my original design mandate was that if I'm five levels above something, it should be no-contest. Meanwhile, if something is five levels above me, I should have no hope. The algorithm goes from there...
We'll see. I like how Kickstarter is enabling things that might not have otherwise been able to exist.
It's all part of the brainstorming process...
