Since nominations are from industry people (reviewers?) presumably they’ve gone as far into the games as they’re ever going to.  While I do agree it should be later to capture late Nov releases, I don’t think 2-3 weeks post-launch is much of an issue here.

Solid but dull and and uninspired.  Releasing a game in respectable shape is enough of a reason for a nomination.  Not yet anyway.

Totally agree.  I don’t think remakes and remasters should be up for awards.  Movies as well.

One of many issues.  It just feels so dated and not a current gen game at all beyond some niceish textures.  The conversations are just ancient.  I’ve played free visual novels with more dynamic conversations than Starfield’s.

Or just patched over and over into infinity until there’s nothing left of the original road and is just a series of overlapping patches.

If they could even bump it up a little, I’d be fine with it.  I’d really like 250 HP, but I think 220 would be begrudgingly accepted.

Yeah, one year I was delayed in getting them swapped out due to some sudden repairs needed.  The day I got the car back it started sleeting and it was a slushy mess on the roads.  Might as well have been driving on cue balls on glass, and they only had a couple thousand miles on them.

Along with that, it’s worth mentioning that these winter tires aren’t like the snow tires of the olden days. They’re meant to deal with a range of winter driving conditions beyond just ice and snow. It’s all sort of a balancing act/compromise. It has a soft tire compound to better deal with the cold than typical

Which is why these victims rights law seem so toothless. Sure they should be heard, but if someone screws up and leaves them out of it, it’s kind of hard to undo it as I don’t think you’re going to be able to just adjust it and add more time after the fact. This is kind of what’s going on now with the Adnan Syed case.

The best winter tires are the tires that’s on your damn car.

Most?

It’s all personal preference. In in MN, and I had summer only tires on in the past during warmer months, so I’d aim to swap when the threat of snow was looming. Usually around the same time I put the GTO away for the year.

Not where I was or with anyone I knew.

I’m sure Rivian has that info, but not the cops yet.

Another doom and gloom EV headline, while also posting today:

Anything that’s freshly paved, or at least smooth and in good condition.

Depends on what you need to do and what kind of car it is.  I’ve seen it done more than once on shows like Roadkill.

He’s just driving up on the curb and sliding under?  What is it you think is going to happen?  A sinkhole forming under him?

They’d have to have a radio that can pick up and decode the signal.  Maybe that can even be done with a software update.  Just not sure if the interference is too much to mess with the signal.
