My GTO is pretty low mile, so I think the age was a bigger factor more than anything. By the end, they were like having a cue ball as a tire. Spin spin spin, you could barely hear them. Once some heat built up, then they’d get some grip again.

Blizzak tires are most certainly not over-rated.  The rest of their line may be.  I thought the Potenzas on my GTO did OK, but certainly not worth the cost compared to Pilot Sports which perform better and are cheaper.
