Fair enough. My employer/FI reports as of statement date, and that makes logical sense to me as a means to reduce disputes, but I suppose I’m not aware that it’s a requirement.

This may not be helpful to you, but FYI, the balance showing on your credit report is the statement balance, not the average balance. So, if you pay off the balance before the statement date your utilization shouldn’t suffer.
