I don’t think people made fun of/attacked that price point as much because it was high, vs the glowing way Sony announced it, like it was supposed to make us happy.
I second your take. Rape is an overused plot device in general, and Outlander used it to an eyerolling level of excess, to the point of trivializing it. I quit after season 1, and then when I read the synopsis for season 2 I was so glad I quit when I did.

The wall jump is awful, but what really gets me is the difficulty in landing some jumps, especially on high or narrow ledges. Fusion showed how important the ledge grab is in these games.
