If all the damage was cosmetic, it would not have had a salvage title to begin with. An insurance company would not write off the car for something so easily repairable. If there was structural or engine damage, maybe, but not for swapping some body panels and some paint.
I dont deny he is terrible, and agree that he should not be on the track at this level without at least some prior experience. However, he shouldnt be blamed until we KNOW he is at fault. Same goes for any driver on the track.
My momma always said, "Life was like a box of cupcakes."
I know that feel, bro. Also, thanks for the cupcake.
sure it can be turned off, it just can't be turned far enough to lock the steering column.
Committing to safety is not about passing a test or getting a ranking. It is about finding out how and why accidents and injuries occur and then developing the technology to prevent them. We lead, the industry follows.
Meh... If he had been somewhat skilled he would not have lift off there in the first place... it's a very noobish mistake to do. And he never put it in reverse after his 180. He did not even press the clutch actually as you can hear the car restart when it's back on track.
Very tricky corner indeed...You have to pin it and then slam the brakes like crazy down to 3rd for the tight right after... Depending on your car, you get there VERY fast... I think it's fair to say that this STI probably lost it at about 220/230kph... Crazy lucky guy....
I don't think it's fair to cite stats like that in the absence of evidence in this instance of what did or didn't happen. I assume Temkin is innocent until proven guilty, as I hope everyone else does.
No it's absolutely not. At least in the context you are using. We don't convict on probability and we shouldn't in the public view either.
I've heard those numbers and I'm not denying them, but an innocent person is an innocent person even if it's only 2-8%.
So are you saying, statistically, he's guilty?
His concern wasn't for the public, it was for his personal stake in the matter. That was far more important then starting a nationwide conversation, especially since he doesn't seem to have any idea of what exactly she thought was assault.
This is complete bullshit. If he didn't rape someone, he should absolutely defend himself. People are raped and it's horrible, but people are also falsely accused and that's also an injustice. These things come down to pure "he said, she said" and that's what makes them so difficult, but an innocent person…
He's not trying to start a conversation about consent, he's trying to make a response to an accusation that he sexually assaulted someone.

the battery packs are stressed members in the cars, so battery swapping would mean completely redesigning the car. from the pictures, it sort of looks like they just ran steel cross members through the battery pack itself to mount to the gearbox at the back. it's possible they ruled out a sling arrangement because…
The hit animated series will be getting adapted to video games in a title being developed by Platinum Studios.
Haha. I love it though, I love it though! y'know?
