Aw shucks, you give us too much credit. This may or may not be true in some areas, but in the Greater Toronto Region at least it's all changed quite drastically over the last 20 years. It used to be that everyone drove either a Chrysler or a Japanese car; now you're a nobody in York Region or downtown Toronto unless

Twin Universities... are you at Waterloo? Ottawa? I think pretty much every Ontario University with access to the 401 has a huge foreign student population.

The fact that we know what he's talking about means we're all racists at heart =D

Have you been hanging around the Greater Toronto Area? Just go to any Chinese Mall parking lot and there's bound to be one, taking up two parking spots

It will probably lead to rule changes, since improper influence is a pretty big deal and the organizers were ultimately unable to prove the allegations. I'm sorry if I somehow offended you, but when these allegations first came out I remember that there were a lot of jokes at the team's expense. I only mentioned it as

More deets on Tesla please. Looking for mech. eng. jobs around SoCal. The Glassdoor salaries on Tesla seems pretty competitive to me. So what's missing? What's "good" pay in your eyes?

Read the September 2013 issue of Racecar Engineering involving UAS Graz and Karlsruhe.

That being said, you need to set your sights on more modest targets. That means a bog-standard 600cc engine inside a space-frame chassis. The simpler it is, theoretically the easier it would be to complete the car, and therefore more time to test the car (which is the most important part of competition prep). When our

Not really relevant when one is a company run by professionals and the other consists of a group of students with maybe a professor as a mentor

I don't know how any LAN party is complete without tasty alcoholic beverages and lively music. I thought the whole point of games is to have fun?

I know, I like your article and shared it on facebook as well =D but I read about the pendulum thing in a million articles and there's too much emphasis on where the engine is located. Maybe there's a misconception but the 944 has a trailing arm swing-axle suspension setup with torsion bar; whereas the 944 has

the Porsche 911 would act as a pendulum and spin out of control faster than a Maury guest who was just told that he was NOT the father.

When I travel from YYZ to anywhere else (FRA, HKG, etc.) the line goes by way faster (Btw, no "TSA" in flights not involving the US- typically 15 minutes-20 minutes faster). Going from anywhere else INTO the US is a nightmare, especially if you come in from an international flight and you need to make a transfer.

FYI, motorcycle gear helps most when you're sliding along the road and have relatively light impacts from hitting the ground and such.

true, I can see people saving boarding time by not carrying luggage with them. However:

Those of you who are too cheap to get priority boarding or whatever will understand.

I'm not sure I follow. I think you're referring to balance of grip, i.e. if one end has more grip than the other than you're likely to have issues in a corner. However, you can never not have enough grip overall, assuming it's balanced.

This is news to me

I know I'm two months late, but if you're an engineer, the Big 3 are on a hiring binge. They're hiring kids before they're out of school.

I wouldn't call this lane splitting. This is more like... stunting, or general asshattery.
