Why on earth would I (a straight woman) want to watch scantily clad women while I'm trying to enjoy a burger? That sounds like just the thing to cause me to loose my appetite. Are they even trying?
That's quite a set of balls/ovaries on Purina, considering their ingredient list(s). Blue Buffalo deserved to get caught, but the irony of it being by a company that sets the bar that low.... I'm surprised they want to call attention to their own mess when I'm sure they still have a hug share of the market.
This is ironic considering Blue's commercials have featured angry customer actors expressing their outrage that they have been duped by the big-company dog food producers, assuming they were feeding their dogs premium food. Ha ha.
"The news was not a big deal to cat owners. Most cats had actually never eaten any of the food and instead had spent hours circling around bowls of it, silently judging how terrible it probably was."
I know! I used to buy Blue Buffalo occassionally, but I haven't in a while because my pug has a corn allergy and I noticed he was still getting itchy skin on it. Now I know why! Liars.
Okay, okay, hold up a sec. Yes, Florida Woman is crazy and not too bright.
WAIT!!! You missed the best part!!!
As a former Florida Woman myself (I was raised in South Fla.) I have to say, this particular Florida Woman move was quite spectacular. This has to be right up there with the Florida Woman who called 911 because McDonalds ran out of Chicken McNuggets.
This is, like, sit-com material.
Somebody once accused my little sister of doing that. "Did you ever notice how your sister never laughs at jokes, she just says, 'That's funny'?" I didn't know how to break it to him that my sister laughs all the time and he just ain't funny.
At one of the call centres I worked out, we took this course I call, "How to pretend you give a fuck." We were taught about the fake laugh and how it's important not to overdo it. Just a little snort, chuckle, and "well done" or whatever. Then move along.
Also, we learned how to grunt and give key words to show we were…
LOL. Way to like miss the point and feed into the stupid paradigm. LOL. Scary skinny and ugly fat are basically the only two tabloid descriptors for body parts. LOL. People's bodies are all over the place and you can't judge a persons health by their weight. LOL, amirite?
I think you're missing the point here. Her message is that snarking on anyone because of them being too [insert adjective] is not cool. Whether or not she's eating enough is a) irrelevant and b) none of our business.
That is actually not true, some people do have trouble keeping weight on due to a fast metabolism or thyroid issues or a host of other medical issues. To assume that someone has an eating disorder because they are "scary skinny" is simply wrong.
