I have a similar story about chili, but I was a little kid and my parents just wanted me to eat it (no peacemaking missions involved). Oddly, I now love chili. But it took 20+ years for that to happen.

I had the same issue with my dog... I noticed the same thing. I now cook for her, her coat looks better than it has in years.

My dog and cats all hate Blue Buffalo. I have tried to get them to eat it, for various reasons, but they all turn up their noses. At least now I can feel better about it... this proves vindication!
