Truly I like getting HBO through Amazon since I use FireStick4k to watch Hulu, Netflix, and HBO and when you get it through amazon, it offers much deeper integration with fire tv and voice commands compared to getting it through another provider. Plus you aren’t tied to any one provider.

I think they prefer to have it paid through other services because it keeps the providers suckling at the hbo teet by keeping everything intertwined, forcing the provider to keep renewing licensing contracts with them to avoid pissing off their…

DirecTV Now already includes HBO.... but needs a lot of work on UX to compete with the other Streaming TV options.. let’s focus on one at a time and just merge it into one really good service rather than multiple flaky services that do only a few things decent.
