Under what kind of contract does the school get to decide what food the family of its student’s buy and bring. I could see the parents making demands on the school, but cannot figure out why the school thinks it has any say the other way.

Is the school going to pay the mom back for what they threw away. Also, Oreos are cheaper than apples... duh. And also, Oreos are awesome.

Of course the name might have something to do with it. Neither Lulu nor Lemon are particularly masculine. Fruit names in general do not go well to men. nor do flowers. Now if it was Momo Metal or Lenny Leather... maybe.

This whole thing was making me nuts this morning. I have since learned that some areas use the word “dip” and some places use the word “scoop.” If it was called hand scooped shake.. I bet that guy (who in the story is travelling away from home) had no idea, so it sounded strange. But the server, who only knows dip,

Well this is helpful. I think I’ve got it!!!!! Somewhere in America they use the word “dip” in the same way everyone I know uses the word “scoop”. The act of sticking an ice cream scoop in the ice cream and pulling it out is for some bizarre reason called a dip. whew.... you have know idea how much this was screwing

Okay... so clearly an entire subset of Americans (regional maybe) are completely unfazed by the use of dip in the context of shake. In my experience Dipping is to take something and stick in something else and then immediately remove it.... does it mean something else in some other place?

Someone tell me what dipping has to do with shakes? Please I have to know. I someone dipping the shake in chocolate sauce or something? I must know???

Its not a stupid question at all... how the hell do you dip a shake? In what way is that different than a normal shake preparation? What the hell is going on???

Clearly she was just not a very clear headed person.

Lobster crackers. I can totally see myself doing this.

who the hell pronounces it with an e? Milk like ilk...not elk....

Was this posted seven days too late?

I assumed she was just saying "university" as a fill in for the name of whatever university the woman went to. Like the woman probably said.. no dear I went to FU.. or something.

This is one of those things that kind of depends on the management of that Sonic. It used to be that they were paid the sub-minimum of 2.13 and I always tipped then. But that was more when drive ins were more present in the public consciousness, and tipping happened all the time. I think that as it became more

Also I don't think I see tip shaming against famous people for not tipping extravagantly. No one says "that rich guy only gave 20% when with his dough he could pay 50%." They tip shame them when they pay 5% or pay no tip or some other damned thing.

Okay so after acknowledging that most states still keep waiters at the sub-minimum wage and that her state does not she says:

I concur wholeheartedly. You should also look into state based equivalents. Unfortunately if the events have not happened within the last 300 days then the statute of limitations has passed. If not go for it. One quibble though. EEOC and state equivalents do not generally offer free legal counsel per se. They will

Some of these (i.e. the first two) are good examples of workplace harassment, and would be the basis of a nice tidy lawsuit or at least EEO charge. Both have good sources of proof (text messages or witnesses). I would love to know if anyone filed.

My fault for awkward wording. And my wife might agree with you.

Well what I was getting it was that it was me saying it about my wife. Meaning that me and my wife were the reverse. It cannot be all men, because I am not that way. :-)
