You seem to think that criticism of a game's shortcomings equals not enjoying it, and thus that it is just not the game for those people.

Yeah, I keep seeing this argument pop up: "How can you think DA:I has too much filler, you LOVED Skyrim!"
Ha! That part wasn't even a result the open world. That fight is scripted and happens the first time you visit the Storm Coast.
I expect my kid to figure out for herself that Santa is not real, at which point I will be proud of her, teach her the history of the tradition, and make sure she understands why she shouldn't give away the secret to any of the children that haven't figured it out yet.
I think I kind of suck at Dragon Age romance. I'm not sure how far I am in the main story (I just allied with the mages. Everyone seems to want to march on the Breach now, and I'm HOPING that if I do something will go terribly wrong, because it's way to soon for endgame). I have only had 2 characters offer…
I can see how if you grew up with different gaming norms, "select stage" could mean "The stage of the proceedings in which you select your character." It's not like it said "select A stage."
It's not entirely true to say there is no healing magic — in addition to the healing potions, you can revive a fallen party member (Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Style), and there IS a spell to revive a fallen character from a distance. But it is jarring that every mage in Thedas has apparently forgotten how to cast a…
Never restarted. My only regret is the lipstick. I didn't know when I put it on that it was glow-in-the-dark.
I am enjoying the game so far, but this article is definitely calling out a genuine deficiency. I actually find myself wishing the game were a bit more linear, because the sidequests are all pretty shallow. They don't do much to flesh out the world.
I'm a little surprised that anyone would disentangle their cable box from the XBone once they had hooked it up. The voice controls work great, and the OneGuide is lightyears better than the cable guide. The only reason I would ever do it would be to use the HDMI port for something else.
When / Where does it give these recommendations? I did a some stuff in the Hinterlands, then tried to do the rescue missing soldiers mission where I need to cross this bog, and I am getting my ass handed to me on a platter.
I am unclear on one point — is it even possible to import my savegame from Origins somehow? I played that on the 360, and will play Inquisition on the XBox One. I have started doing the Dragon Age Keep in an attempt to reconstruct my world state, but it's a bit frustrating. There are so many choices to set, and the…
Do "Ragnar the Red!"
Some of my fondest memories of the early 90s revolve around TIE Fighter. What a fantastic game.
Well, it was probably a "dry run" and she is planning to have ebola NEXT TIME.
I know I'll be in the minority here, but my number one wish for snapping is that I would have the option to split the screen equally in half. My XB1 is connected to a projector aimed at a very large screen, so for me, both sides would still be fully watchable, and it would allow my wife and I to share the device…
I'm struggling with this question myself. I have the iPhone 4s, so no matter what I upgrade to it will be bigger. I also have an iPad, and I've found that if I have both at hand, I exclusively prefer to use the tablet. The phone screen and keyboard are just too small to be the go to choice.
I once modified the game so that the player avatar was just a featureless black orb, about the size of a soccer ball, hovering at gun level. When the player died, the orb would stop moving and remain on the screen, still just hovering there. As the game went on, the level would become cluttered with motionless black…
You seem to have badly mangled the beloved fable of The Grasshopper and the Octopus.
I don't disagree, exactly, and I'm not trying to knock down anybody who wants more online social interaction. I'm more just offering one data point (me) to explain why the in-game chat seems abandoned, and I think my example mostly supports your theory. Thing is, some of these problems are kind of intractable.
