They must feel like a new toothbrush.

I predict IM3 will make tons of money, but everyone will be disappointed that they spent money on it.

dogmatic fans of the comic character Mandarin, no doubt...

Any movie where a guy dumps Maura Tierney for Sandra Bullock is automatically a horror film.

Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Romance!

Yes, this is quite possibly the best premise for an io9 article EVER.

Wow.

As a rural dweller, I think i should feel offended at the subtext here.

But then, I am not expected to understand your urban wit :)

To me, a movie flops not always due to bad reviews or word of mouth. It does so because no one is interested in the subject.

Tasha Yar was one of the first people I thought of, too. Arguing that she doesn't technically count is like arguing that the "zombies" in 28 Days Later aren't really zombies.

When did trailers stop having narrators? Was it when Don LaFontaine died? I miss hearing him say stuff like, "In a world of manly men, one manly man meets another manly man for manly adventures against evil manly men. Manly."

Tasha only "came back" in a universe in which she never died "Yesterday's Enterprise" and her half human daughter obviously isn't the same character.

Unfortunately I don't think that counts, as Commander Sela was a different character than Tasha Yar (even though they were played by the same actress).

That's Tasha's daughter. She betrayed the actual Tasha, who was then executed.

There's also Maqbool, by Vishal Bhardwaj, with Irrfan Khan and the fabulous TABU! They played grown up Pi and the mom in Life of Pi

Which only raises the question of why no one has yet made "Game of Thrones of Blood."

I was going to say the same thing! I have a sour taste in my mouth knowing the team had, pretty much, a full classic goblin! *flails arms*

The Tobey McGuire screentest is better than all three of the Spiderman movies combined.

That's easy.

Miyazaki's “My Neighbor Totoro.” I love it so.
