Regarding that Frankenstein movie. I think that McGuigan is a solid director who deserves to get better gigs and more attention, while Max Landis is a rather mediocre writer who doesn't deserve the high profile gigs and attention he is getting.

I jumped ship after the third one but I remember there was something about King Arthur in the sequels, lol
It’s not as smart and insightful as it tries to come over. And for someone who can’t stand characterization and dialogue of the Whedon brand, it’s an ordeal.
Usually my opinion is that retcons are lazy or cowardly, but in this case I plead for ignoring everything Bay built up. No use trying to write around that mess.
Maybe they realized that they shouldn’t repeat the same mistake on the small screen which they committed on the big screen, namely flooding it quickly with too much content
“Email addresses have changed for Searchlight staffers, with the fox.com address replaced with a searchlightpictures.com address.”
I guess RDJ is in his Jack Sparrow phase now.
I love this poster, although it does not reflect the tone of the movie that accurately. I kinda wish I could see this sexier version of Star Wars on screen one day hehe
If you ever wanted to what Hans Zimmer’s rendition of “Pour Eloise” would sound like...
Hook was the first real let down I experienced regarding movies. I was around 12 and made my first steps at critical thinking. Even then I thought it was too sappy and cheesy. Home Alone 2 is just plain terrible, a listless retread of the first one, with more OTT violence.
Hook or Home Alone 2.
“take the movies as they are” is an argument that I read a lot of times regarding Star Wars and it is a stance that doesn’t hold up. Because I don’t think the movies earned it. Especially TROS was just a succession of fan-pleasing moments that were supposed to push buttons, crafting a compelling story that stands on…
Fair argument :D
I am scratching my head for the disdain a lot of people seem to have for this movie. Was it a little overhyped? Sure, but it's still a decent piece of entertainment. Is it derivative? No doubt, but how many times did Marvel sell us the same movie? And the fact that wasn't followed by 5 sequels in 10 years is a sign of…
This show was stupid from the very beginning in my eyes, although it was trying to be smart way too hard. The first episode was at least entertaining in a guilty pleasure kind of way, but it was dumb from the get go, let's be honest. "Did you have sexual intercourse with Count Dracula?" was the line that was…
Interesting. I thought they went on for too long, as if they had to fill time.
I am not the biggest marvel movie fan, but I still went to see Infinity War and found it to be a tight, unpretentious and often exciting movie, very much to my surprise. Endgame on the other hand, was a plodding mess, often dull and unnecessarily drawn out. Many scenes felt like filler. Did anybody really need closure…
2 moments from Spiderman? Meh. Avengers was also meh to be honest, a disappointing conclusion to Infinity War. The year of meh fan service.
“It's Murphy "
Do I remember it incorrectly or did they rarely use any wipes as scene transitions in this movie?
