She dies of a broken heart
“I cannot believe how much Leia was able to do in this film" yikes
The Running Man... There is one book you couldn’t adapt again to be following the novel more closely...
Good choice for a remake. Both the first adaptation and the original book can be approved upon. The book has some intense gore and nightmarish imagery that was impossible to realize in 1993
Is that really an exciting idea though? I mean we already had 3 Batman movies that were made in the 90s.
People complaining about movie review headlines that give away if the reviewer did or did not enjoy the movie are the recent peak of spoiler panic so far. That even tops people who claim that two sentences describing the basic premise of a movie are a “spoiler”. Of course the studios are starting to take advantage of…
“no permanent victories"Kind of depressing. I think Star Wars is first and foremost a fairy tale in space.
I agree. I thought it was hollow and speculative. They threw a few current hot topics at the wall to see what sticks and had the audacity to mask this laziness as “ambiguity”. And how many solo dance scenes can you squeeze into a movie?
How many movies from 2000 onwards had that shot of someone leaping over a car like this? JJ is jumping on that bandwagon far too late.
It was dull, the story was all over the place and Luke’s story was disappointing.
Don’t bother, really.
That show started out really good, then by episode 5 I had the feeling that I’ve seen the same episode three times in a row. And then they started reheating old plotlines from “Fringe”. The biggest disappointment of the year to me.
Yes. Hook sucks ass. It’s Spielberg’s midlife crisis movie. Whiny and lifeless.
Business as usual
Not bad. They really tried to make something different.
But that's another work that is depicting a part of Pop culture on a very superficial level.
He is good at playing thugs and his athleticism is very impressive. That’s about it. Otherwise he lacks the chops, charisma and likability to be a lead in anything.
That was supposed to be the first scene in an early draft from the 90s, a flashback to cretaceous times.
Looks enjoyable to me.
