Had to go the dirty route and get the PS2 version on an emulator since I traded my PS2 in to get a BC PS3 which was then stolen and my current PS3 is not BC.

I won't argue that the Wii and its ilk are good systems for certain people. Same with handhelds. Unfortunately neither really work for me for several reasons.

My initial post was a bit brusque. The Wii U is very much a real console, just not one I'm interested in. I'm not a fan of the second screen thing and my original Wii just gathered dust.

All I think they've said is that this is going to have a premium price. Hopefully not as bad as a Square game. I expect between $10-$20.

This is exactly what I mean. Capcom says they want this franchise to find traction in the western market and yet they are only targeting systems which do not make up the lion's share of the market.

I would LOVE a Vita or 3DS but I'm never in a situation where I have the time to play one. I do not use public transportation and when I go on a trip I am usually the one driving. When I'm at home I'm going to either use my consoles, PC, or read a book.

I suppose I should have said 'current console' but that would have included the wii u, which, having had my original wii collect dust for years, I have no interest in.

You know what would get me playing Monster Hunter? Capcom releasing it on a real console (or PC, which Capcom generally supports well) in the states. Because frankly I want to see what all the fuss is about, but I'm not going to buy a handheld or a wii to do it.

I purchased it immediately after the update for this functionality. It doesn't work over 3G. The songs will play a fraction of a second then skip to the next track. Over wifi it seems to be okay and it will also work if you download the songs to your device.

I was actually talking to my girlfriend about this last night. I don't recall the last time I played a game where I shot someone with a firearm. I've played quite a few where I COULD have gone on a murderous rampage like MGS3 and Mark of the Ninja; stealth games, mostly.

Mark of the Ninja is god damn amazing. Get it on steam if you can. So gorgeous.
