I always thought that one was hilarious, despite not knowing the Carnation reference. I thought she was just a discontented, upper-class cow, stuck with a lazy bull who’s let himself go. What’s not funny about that? I mean, given that whatever’s in Blondie and Mother Goose and Grimm passes for humor in the comics,

Screen name is accurate.

Now I’m the one who missed the joke, which is also ironic. It’s been so long so now I read one of the books that I had it in my head that he always depicted cows as kind of dumb, which was definitely wrong.

I was sent to the hardware store for a long weight once. It took ages.

“From Contented Cows” is (or for many years was) printed on the label of every can of Carnation condensed or evaporated milk. “Contented Cows Give Better Milk” was later the title of a corporate leadership book, which is pretty gross if you think about it even a little bit.

The trouble is, as Gary Larson himself admitted, is that he made one of the tools look like a crude saw, which made the audience try and figure out what the OTHER tools might be and predictably coming up empty.

That’s because you didn’t take it at face value

“Someone appears to have been there when the mud was wet, because at the base of it, in this video at 0:25, there are deep cut marks made parallel to the faces,” one user wrote. It’s not really clear where the “faces” are supposed to be, but multiple social media users insist they see them.

The finish is fine enough and the material expensive enough that it was likely a known artist. They could probably narrow down who in the state has those kinds of skills. But it’s just a harmless metal sculpture, I doubt they will dig too much.

I’m torn between that and the brief scene where the Mando music kicks in and they pass through the fight, only for it to pause long enough for them to disappear before everyone starts blasting again. Those (and the ‘Please be a cape.” “It’s a wrap!’ and Emperor’s Life Day miracle) scenes were the only ones I really

They DIDN’T evolve from ducks. They both evolved from a common duck ancestor, naturally. The Hominiducks.

I dunno, if anything I think Rom was inspired to greatness by his own son - he only bucked Ferengi expectations regarding profit and business, first by starting a union and then joining the Bajoran Militia as an engineer (and played a crucial part in the Dominion War by coming up with the self-replicating mines),

Well, Klingon sounds like Outer Space Yiddish and Vulcanism is heavily influenced by Leonard Nimoy’s own Judaism - the Vulcan salute and “Live Long and Prosper” are both derivatives of Jewish traditions.

Nog’s speech to Sisko about his father, and why he wanted to join Starfleet is still heartbreaking, moving, and amazingly acted.  Aron really nailed that monologue.

DS9 has aged vastly better than most other Trek shows.

It’s also, according to the Star Trek website, Einsenberg class.

Oppressed Robots are literally the origin of the word ‘Robot’. We have this word because of Czech author and playwrite Karel Capek, who wrote Rossumovi Univerzální Roboti or, in English, Rossum’s Universal Robots in 1920. ‘Robot’ is a Czech loan-word that literally means ‘Forced Labor’. The word robot means oppression

It failed, so did Cowboys & Aliens

A drummer’s job is essentially getting paid to do cardio.
