I seem to have an opposite experience. While I DD’ed my TJ because I was in high school/College, it came with a TON of compromises as a daily whip. My JK requires far less compromise, and is just as capable on the trail.

Well, there’s a few things -

While the 3.8 EGH was a dog, there is absolutely no knocking the 3.6 Pentastar. ~100 more HP and 70 more ft-lbs of torque, plus better MPG? No question.

Compared to what? The S2000? The Miata?

Neither solution requires physical buttons...why wouldn't they just load both (for those manufacturers supporting both systems) and just have it autodetect when you plug the cable in/handshake over BT? What more UI integration is needed/wanted?
