Uniqlo is my favorite of the cheap fashion chains. The quality seems better and it seems less pretentious to me.

I'm not a big fan of Chivalry in general - I AM a big fan of respect and politeness, but Chivalry takes being respectful and polite and then piles on a whole bunch of extra gendered assumptions and codes.

Even if it's not traditional, I say beans. My chili isn't traditional anyway, with its tomato juice base. More of a soup and not a stew. But it's hard to find enough peppers to add when my wife doesn't like chili hot, so a tomato base is almost required, isn't it?
