My father in law never says anything particularly political, then he goes and "likes" a comment on Facebook about how Obama is a "dumbass" and the next 4 years are going to be a total disaster. WTF, FIL?

Probably a witch. For now.

Baby Bruce Willis? He's not even bald! But, he is darn cute.

You have a lot of time to adjust to the reality of a baby being inside you. Unless you have one of those I Didn't Know I was Pregnant births, then the freak out is totally justified and expected.

I have heard that its a Jewish custom to not bring baby furniture into the home until the baby is born, and some people do buy it but keep it at their parents' house until after the birth.

Hey, me too! I remember they called it for Gore before my (red) county in Central Time Zone has reported, and I thought, that's strange, and it turned out I was right. But then I moved to South Carolina and my lil' Democratic vote hasn't counted for much since.

A Facebook friend said something similar, though the opposite direction. She's in NYC, registered in SC. SC took forever to send out her ballot and then it seems to have gotten lost in New York somewhere. She posted that a couple of days ago, I wonder if it ever showed up.

Pretty long line this morning before work, but one of the 3 voting booths broke, so that might be part of it. They said they don't check the batteries until the morning of the election (?!?) I was also disappointed that I could not manage to see a sample ballot until I showed up this morning. Our election commission

How do you know this was the former? The article says the nurses testified that they weren't trained in preventing fires. That sounds like negligence by the hospital. Sure, it's part of the risk, but they can take efforts to lower the risk, and they apparently didn't.

I was personally more comfortable sending my son to a daycare center, than to an in-home caregiver. I figured if there was always more than one adult around, they would all keep an eye on each other. I knew the daycare director before I started sending him there, and I thought she seems like a responsible and nice

Well, it brought out some real winners on the Gawker post, too, so I'm not surprised.

People don't trick-or-treat at apartment buildings?! I would think that would be the best place - lots of doors for not much walking.

It means if you're not on the whore pills you can go get knocked up RIGHT NOW!

Ha, that was my reaction too. I was in 3rd grade for Bush v. Dukakis, and got made fun of in music class for being the only one in favor of Dukakis.

I'm guessing this comment is a reply to lauren86's comment, since otherwise it makes no sense.

Yeah, you selfish woman, why don't you care about other people in this world, like rich white men? A vote for Romney would really help out this underrepresented minority. Just stop it with your self-centered lady concerns.

There was a really funny Daily Show sketch where they interviewed Black Mormons: http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/tue-october-9-2012/the-black-mormon-vote

I still do this with my 16 month old. His naps are exactly 90 minutes long. The rare time minute 95 comes along without a peep, I'm staring at the video monitor trying to make sure his chest is moving.

I swear I heard the moderator call her Lorena at first, although I might have been hallucinating.

Wikipedia does actually say something, you're right about the ten years but I guess it was more like child endangerment due to drunk driving. I vaguely remember that.
