that's a vast over simplification. MS gives you which games for free? a good lot of them are actually F2P, and you need Gold to go on multiplayer. The greatest aspect of Lost Odyssey wasn't even the main storyline, but the various short-story "memories" that you could unlock. These were some of the best-written and most emotional pieces of storytelling I've ever seen in a game.

For sure, think of a great sci fi movie from the past few years. I really like Moon for instance, that is a slow burn. Moon wasn't much of a box office success though, it requires a modicum of patience to build, but the payoff is that much sweeter at the end when you do wait for it.
