Thank you Wes, this is exactly what I've been preaching for years! There is a difference between going fast and enjoyable driving with and without electronics. When you're driving a car with a good chassis, good shifting feel and an enjoyable motor its just more gratifying than a car that does the same thing with…
Nailed it with the Mini reference. I have had more fun with a Mini S on the street that just about any car other. It fills its designed purpose, extremely well. Horsepower does not automatically equal fun.
Objectively, if Mazda made a fixed roof hatch back Miata I would have one. A Miata suffers from no roof rack option and (relatively) limited cargo space.
Wasn't this culture founded on the principal of "if you fuck around with someone, their family, or their property you're gonna get your ass beat"? When I was a stupid-ass-teenager I didn't do a lot of dumb things that I was tempted to do, not out of respect for the law, but a desire not to get whooped on by someone…
WHOA WHOA WHOA!
I got the text too and all of last night, all over the city I could not load any data, cell service worked fine though. Maybe it was just a coincidence.
I thought about that, but the problem is that the board flexes a ton so any clip solution is out the door.
Geez, they were at the Alameda County Bomb Range too... how much would it suck to live next to that thing?
If you drop a fully assembled unibody passenger car frame from that height it would buckle. Assuming a passenger car frame weighs 300kg after a 3 meter fall it'd be traveling at 7.8 m/s and hit the ground with 88,200 newtons (19,000lbs) of force.
I'm gonna bet that they had a bunch of half-finished or prototype mockups that they were disposing of when they vacated their manufacturing facilities. All of those shells were probably destined for the garbage anyway, why not have a little fun in the process. Plus those guys probably had a morbid curiosity to see how…
I could see how this could be fun. Boarding with ski poles can be pretty neat. It changes the way the turns feel when your carving if you drag the uphill pole's collar into loose snow. It'll kinda 'suck' you down into the turn. It doesn't do much, but its a cool feeling.
The Mustang can turn fast lap times with the touring pack, true. But they don't feel like sports cars in any trim. The base 370Z costs 25% more, doesn't come with a LSD and weighs 400lbs more than this. If this thing handles like a Cayman its gonna be a winner.
"3,000-4,000 units per year"
Pleasssseee be disposably priced! My Z is getting haggard something bad.
Plus one on the key in place of a button.
"We'll be bringing you the first live shots of the Scion FR-S, America's version of the Toyota GT 86 at 8pm (PST) tonight"
No, that's one LIGHT chassis!
The banana car by Bam. Its used as a prop in a video for a song that features the line "Marinate the nether rod / in the squish mitten." Doesn't get any more phallic than that.
