I fail to see how this is Doom 4 inside of Doom. The Spiderdemons weren’t even a common enemy in Doom 4. Actually, the whole thing looks off. I was more excited by the idea than seeing the actual execution.

I didn’t find it tricky. Wait for no shield, shoot to fuck. Big ball of fire: shoot to fuck. There was more trickery involved in the Cyberdemon IMO. I just feel like it wasn’t impressive and a little uninspired compared to the other 2 bosses.

As much as I really liked the new Doom, I found the boss fights to be easier than many of the areas of the levels. It was much harder for me to manage 50 demons shooting at me in a constant barrage ambush than to take on these bosses one-on-one. But I do agree, the boss fights are cool. I’ll admit that Nadine’s stringy ass beating up Nate was annoying as piss. More annoying for me was that fact that given every opportunity, nobody just fucking shot Nadine. While the anime art on its own is pretty damn good, there’s something very terrible and trashy about them when compared to the classy original artworks.

Well, if you’re gonna go through the effort to completely revamp Doom, you might as well makes some new sprites. It doesn’t even have to be all of them, just 1/3 would be nice so it fits the theme. It doesn’t have to be a TC.

Just watched some footage on Youtube and while the level design and all that look pretty cool, it’s a shame they didn’t bother replacing any of the monster sprites.
