I backed this before this article. I saw the vid and I thought "this looks a lot like Flashback" and then I read that it was an inspiration...so very appropriate. I sent them a PM suggesting they use rotoscoping for their animation though. It'd be more authentic that way.

High on concept, not on execution. If a team with some real game-making talent took these concepts and incorporated them into something fun, that'd be a different story, but who wants to play something this basic-looking and have the goal be to get keys and make it to a check mark?
