“ there are serious concerns about protecting travelers’ privacy and the legality of the systems being installed”
Regarding the close passes (not the fire)...
LOL, that’s nothing. I live at the edge of a neighborhood that hugs the end of Buckley AFB’s runway. Daily, the F16's fly over the house at an altitude low enough that’ you’d swear you could hit one with a rock. They’ve shaken the pictures off the walls more than a few…
Urban millennial here, who is actually interested in buying a premium motorcycle in the next few years: Harleys are tainted in our demographic.
Cadillac’s actually a pretty interesting comparison.
There are four main reasons Audi should focus on Germany first and not America:
I’ve driven Japanese cars (Honda/Toyota) for over a decade. I loved their reliability. But when I finally started making some money and wanting something nice I started looking into Lexus and Acura. After multiple test drives I realized that Acura is just a Honda with a different badge on it and a 15% premium. Same…
You sound fat.
So... how long have you been a judgy asshole?
Also, why haven’t you quit smoking yet, champ?
Well not all smokers are bad. But a lot are. I happen to live right next to a place where people like to finish their cigs before getting on the subway and there are literally hundreds of butts sometimes. It doesn’t help that the owner of the property doesn’t clean it. I’ve often thought about buying one of those…
Putting ashtrays in cars isn’t going to solve the problem of smokers flicking butts out the window. People who smoke don’t want their car filled with old butts any more than people who don’t smoke, because they continue to stink up the car. And smokers don’t care about the world or think of the ecological or aesthetic…
If the call button was really for emergency use solely, they’d tell you that on the flight. It would say it. I mean, of course someone from a flight attendant’s association would say that. It’s less work for the people she represents.
Everybody loves to rag on the guy, but doesn’t he actually always try to follow through on this stuff? I mean, he’s actually building an underground tunnel to alleviate LA traffic and he had his engineers custom build a submarine to get the Thai soccers kids out.
I built over 165 of them up until my late 20's. (about 30 years ago now...) This was one of the last and I still have it.
Counterpoint: It’s cool. Every car should have a key that is directly as nice as the car itself and works with the feel/brand of the car
Framing, buddy. Framing. It’s not 12 miles of range, it’s 7 minutes of action. That has to be above average for most of us!
Until there’s any hint of moisture in the air, and those plastic lenses’ insides soak up every bit of it.
Maybe humans just aren’t cut out to use driver-assistance systems.
Road trips are perhaps my favorite thing about cars. I drove my Porsche 912E across the country and back last…
Concur 1 billion trillion percent. This is the law in Switzerland, and probably the rest of Europe. Trucks sized like our pickups are only used by businesses and individuals that require them, and drivers must have a commercial license. It’s one of the main reasons their roads and traffic are so much more civilized.
