I think the A90 looks better in red.
I think the A90 looks better in red.
Yay yellow cars!
Yes correct. The Cappuccino basically made 63rwhp from the factory.
The Honda Beat made it at the crank however with it’s naturally aspirated SOHC engine. The Cappuccino is noticeably faster.
No, the limits are the class rules for the Kei class of car, which are still set to 660cc, 64ps (63hp) and size limitations as well.
Personally I think a power limitation is silly, a fuel consumption or emissions requirement would suffice just fine, and allow for them to potentially make more power while getting…
Interestingly...2 years later I’ve imported a Honda Beat and owned it for a year, and now have a Cappuccino. The Beat was slightly strained on the highway (6000 rpm at 70), but not horrible. The Cappuccino feels right at home.
You are correct on the first point, but the second is subjective.
While I agree the C8's tails look a bit too similar to the 16-18 Camaro’s, I still think they look quite good.
Eww, Eww, and ehhh.
The MX5 is the only thing that comes close in complexity, and realistically it’s still isn’t even really that close.
They didn’t cut power at all. This is how basically all multi-trim sports cars are. They are unveiled in base model, and then get the common upper tiers (think Z06, ZR1 and Camaro ZL1) over the years.
They will probably show a 2021 Z06/ZR1/Zora this winter in Detroit with ~700hp.
Please name 1 $25k car with tail lights as nice as the C8's? I feel like you are smoking some serious crack.
It might seem a bit of a strawman, but you did say “Dynos are useless being compared against themselves for different cars”.
The word “useless” reads rather a lot like you mean that no comparison “should be made at all”.
So no it wasn’t a straw man, it’s a literal interpretation of your writing.
So what you are saying is because there is no way to make a 100% accurate comparison of power, that none should be made at all?
SMH...
Maybe your bad at math because 368whp is roughly 433hp at the crank accounting for 15% drivetrain loss. So yes the Z4 is also making a lot (51hp) more than advertised.
Well the problem with that is that car was on the old Zeta platform which was heavy. The new Alpha platform Camaro’s are ~200lbs lighter, and handle significantly better in pretty much all trims.
Motor Trend had the 455hp SS 1LE as only 1/10th of a second behind the M4 GTS on Laguna Seca, and the GTS has more power,…
Well I mentioned the tariff bit, but yeah I suppose the lack of dealers hurts as well. I’d just think they would sell as well as the Corvette.
And yes, I, among many others have been begging GM to address the visibility issue of the Camaro. They seem to think more people will buy it if it looks good because of the…
I think you are replying to the wrong person, because your take on what I wrote is just wrong.
Maybe read it again. The point is that you should move over to the right regardless of whether someone is behind you or not. This is the law in many states, and just common sense in the rest.
I’m always a bit surprised the 7th gen Camaro doesn’t do better in Europe. I mean it’s a really solid performer, esp the 1LE Trim’s. So much so that even with the massive tariff’s paid on them, they are still cheaper than (performance) rivals from BMW, etc.
I wonder if GM just doesn’t try.
Luckily they’re agile enough to hopefully avoid that.
I did some minimal research a while ago, and OHV engines were invented about a year after OHC, and put into a production car about 3 years later. So OHV Pushrod engines are newer technology!!!
It’s gone beyond that now. I go to kids concerts where people film in vertical cutting off half the kids and leaving a ton of white space on top and bottom.
So 395hp?
Granted I’m not sure how “antiquated” the 15% rule actually is. It’s probably less in cars with ultra-light driveshafts, but I’m unaware if Toyota has specified driveshaft weight. Also the ZF is a torque converter automatic. It might be the best torque converter auto ever, but it still isn’t a DCT or manual,…
