That shouldn’t be hard.  The V6 1LE Camaro spanks the 370Z on a track.  The question is, can the Supra spank a Camaro SS (let alone a V6 1LE)?

I think were comparing them because on paper they look pretty similar.

And frankly shouldn’t it be embarrassing that Toyota is releasing a car that looks similar on paper to a decade old car that is $20k cheaper?

The 1993 Supra Turbo also had 20hp more than the stanard Corvette of it’s time which had a similar starting price.
Now the Supra will have 125hp less (with a starting price $6k lower).

Compare it to the Camaro or Mustang which now handle quite well and it get’s even more embarrassing for the Supra.

Exactly, it’s things like a manual transmission, a good sounding engine and a well balanced chassis that makes a car fun to drive.

0-60 is almost the worst stat to use to compare a car. It has more to do with gearing, transmission, and traction than power and weight.
The new Supra undoubtedly is somewhat underrated, but an advertised 335hp is still far to little for 50 large.

Well this is about $10k cheaper than I think most of us were expecting which is good.
Maybe it won’t be quite the ripoff I thought it would be.  I’d still like to see more power for $50 large.

Every one of the 2-door sports cars on this list has objectively low performance for it’s price level. You might argue about the GT-R, but it’s supposed to be a supercar competitor and has now been ousted by the top Camaro in track performance for less than half it’s price.

Except they adjusted the price for inflation, but forgot to adjust the performance for the same inflation.

So despite it being a bit toned down from the FT1 concept, I do like the way it looks. It’s a lot better than it looked under camo, with more curves.
Still not all that hyped about the numbers and lack of a manual option.

So I do like it, and I hope they build it, but the price seems a bit high to me.
If we remember the Chevy SS didn’t sell all that well, and probably the biggest reason was the high price. This Toyota will probably have 60hp less and yet be slightly more expensive.
It might do well in Japan because of the lack of

Plus the ND’s top was designed to be able to put it up easy with one hand from the drivers seat, so you don’t need to hop ot of the car (in the rain) like you do in many car.

It does rain daily in Hawaii, but usually it doesn’t rain for a long time, so a convertible should be fine.  Just don’t leave the top down.

That is their excuse, but it is simply their policy, not a hardware issue.

I know he pushes each car’s cornering on it’s warm-up lap to get an understanding of how fast he can enter/exit the corners.

And Hybrids can be good for racing, but the tech they use on a track (likely KERS) isn’t the same as they use in production cars, which is why most hybrid sports cars run the battery dry in 10-15

No, because tracking the car wouldn’t actually cost Onstar any money at all, besides the person’s time who I’m already on the phone with.

I mean I sort of get your point, but Onstar could have made some subscription money and done a good deed, instead they chose no money and revenge.

I hate Onstar. For the most part it’s just a ripoff and is easily replaced by a bluetooth connected cellphone.

The one useful thing though is locating your car.  My Mom’s car got stolen about a month after the Onstar plan ended, which she didn’t renew as she had never used it.  Onstar refused to track the car, even if

I didn’t notice it being cramped inside, but I’m also not tall. But the hood was so long, and the widebody fenders stick out past the window so it felt long and wide, despite not being a big car.
I did like the engine, was was impressive for an N/A I6, but I suppose thats why those engines are so popular.

I drove my friends Z4M and it felt anything but “tiny”.
Full disclosure this was literally the same day I drove 4 hours out to the track in my Honda Beat...but I do have other bigger cars.

Your math is off...by a lot.
The difference in the tax brackets is less than 7% on average not “half”.
The real problem is that some of the biggest jumps span a large amount of money difference.
So in this hypotheitical $100k scenario, a single person would pay ~$17,204, while a married couple would pay $11,717, being a

Yes, I was referencing (from memory) Motor Trends Head 2 Head of the Corvette Grand Sport against the 991.2 S.
And the 911 has an expected advantage in launching, and subsequently it’s quarter mile ET, but it was surprising how much faster it was in a straight line despite the slight p/w disadvantage.

Possible, but doubtful. In all likeliness he was alone, and the police knew who he was, so there was no real reason to pursue.
